Forget the expensive dinner reservations and navigating through crowds, your home just became the hottest date spot in town! At-home dates aren't just budget-friendly, but they're also super romantic and fun because you can create a truly unique and personal experience - all from the comfort of your own home. Whether you're looking for a luxurious romantic date, a cozy night-in, or a fun adventure that will have you both laughing, you can make it happen at home. These are also the perfect quarantine activities for couples!
Here are some of our favorite at-home dates:
1. 'Love Is Blind' date night
You might not have Nick and Vanessa Lachey as hosts, but you can still create a fun Love Is Blind inspired date night at home. To really recreate the feel of the pods, you'll want to throw on some comfy sweats, gather some wine and snacks, and settle into some cozy blankets on opposite sides of a door. Then take turns asking each other deep questions (we highly recommend these 36 questions). You might be surprised what new things you learn about your partner!
2. Online salsa class
Love to dance? Now is the perfect time to brush up on your skills or learn some new moves! Thanks to a number of dance studios offering online dance classes, you can now learn from top-notch instructors in the comfort of your own home. Time to get your salsa on! To make this extra fun - get dressed up in a nice suit and red dress.
3. Watch a play
Grab some popcorn and take in a full-length play from the UK's acclaimed National Theatre. Every week during the coronavirus quarantine a new play is released, which you can then stream from their YouTube channel. Some amazing talent is featured here like Benedict Cumberbatch in Frankenstein and Ralph Fiennes in Antony & Cleopatra so don't miss out on the unique opportunity to enjoy these theatrical shows!
4. Virtual escape room
This one is for all the fellow escape room fanatics! Just because you're stuck indoors doesn't mean you can't have fun solving puzzles and exploring new adventures. A number of escape room companies have created amazing virtual experiences that you can play from home. Here are some free ones by Escape the Crate, Expedition Escape, and Enchambered. Also, here are some paid ones by the Escape Game, Escape Experience, and the Escaper.
